Summer fun with family

We went to Texas for cousin Jane's wedding. It was so much fun. We enjoyed everyday of the visit. We got to play with the kids and see family. We want to thank all of our family that was there for making the weekend great. Thank you.We love you all.

Two new friends

These two girls are freshman. They are so much fun. They don't know much English so we can use Chinese to talk to them. We hope to be good friends with them.

Fun with friends

The Chinese girl is a good friend ours. And the little girl is our American's daughter. They are fun girls. The little girl loves all our Chinese friends. Chinese college students love kids. They will always play with them.

Dalian New Year fireworks

The Chinese people love fireworks. There were so many fireworks that our house was shaking. It was a crazy night. Like nothing we have ever seen. They also have fireworks on the 15th of the Lunar year. In a big park they have fireworks which is what the big fireworks are. It was crowded but a lot of fun.

Lost at the Zoo

It was much more scary in person walking around the zoo after it was closed trying to find our way out because in many areas animals are not put away. The hyenas fence at some parts were very low and we had to walk by their cage to get out. They followed us along side the fence laughing and it was much scarier than the video portrayed.

These are a few pictures from Beijing. It was Kasey's first time to be on a train. We went with two friends. We saw all the traditional things people know. We had a lot of fun. The Forbidden City, Great Wall, 798 and so much more. People told us if you haven't been to 798 you haven't been to Beijing and if you haven't been to Beijing you haven't been to China. So where have we been living before we went to Beijing?? We thought it was funny.

These are a few pictures from when we went to the Zoo. It was so much fun. It is a big zoo. In one of the parts, you can walk through and touch some of the animals. They will sometimes come up to you. It was a fun zoo.

Chinese Class

This is Chinese class at one of the breaks. This was last year. During breaks we would try to write everything that missed in class. Now Daniel studies and I don't have time to really do anything because I only have about 5 minutes. Class is going well for both of us and we like it.

grilling out and climbing mountains

When it is warmer, we like to grill out outside. We have made hamburgers before but mostly grill vegs. and lamb on a stick. I know Kasey eating lamb. It is one of our favorites. There is a mountain not far from where we live that we have climbed.We hope to do it again when it gets warmer.
